This is a technique my sister taught me. It's called a flip card, because the images flip up as you pull the cord. These cards are really cute to make, but they are a little time-consuming, because of all the measuring and cutting involved.

I took a flower chipboard album and some old black & white photos, from when my mom was a kid, and made this album for her, for Mother's Day. I love the way this turned out! Using the buttons and scrap lace & ribbon really made this album unique I think.
These are 2 cards I made using the Spellbinder's impressabilities: butterflies & flowers.
Both cards were created by inking the impressabilities die, then embossing it. For the birthday card, I also used the petite ovals--large die from Spellbinder's.

This is an album that I just made for my husband's cousin (and my friend) Diana, for her birthday.
I used a black chipboard album, and various paper & supplies to make this album. I think it turned out great, I hope she likes it! :)
As you can see, the title of my blog page is a play on my name, well initials anyways. Since I always sign my work "MY." I thought it would be a cool idea to incorporate that into my blog name.
In 2009 I won Spellbinder's Pendant Project Contest---SO Excited about that!!! I love making all kinds of craft projects, and Spellbinder's Dies are one of my favorite things to use. :)
In my spare time (what's that!?) I love making scrapbook pages, cards, altered projects, cross stitch, photo albums and even decorative cakes.
